Video Presentation Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in my research topic. Due to the large number of applications, I ask applicants who are still interested to submit a short video presentation in place of an individual interview.

Up to 15 minutes
Submission deadline
October 14, 2026 (AOE)

1. Research experience and motivation

  • Briefly describe your previous research or development projects, highlighting your own contributions, especially research ideas or experiments you initiated independently or collaboratively.
  • Explain why you are interested in my research topic.
  • Briefly assess your ability to carry out research tasks without relying on AI tools.

2. Internship goals

Describe what you hope to achieve during the internship, including any specific expected outcomes (e.g., submit to top-tier conference).

3. Degree requirements

Clarify whether the internship research needs to be included in your Master's or Ph.D. thesis.

How to submit

Email a link to your video to sikehata@nii.ac.jp by October 14, 2026 (AOE / Anywhere on Earth). You may use Google Drive or an unlisted YouTube video. Please make sure the link allows me to view your video.

This deadline accommodates the internal selection processes at some universities. The Interest Form and formal NII application have separate deadlines; please refer to the announcement on the home page.
